Police miserably failed to control crimes in AP, alleges Chandrababu

Amaravati, May 2: Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday wrote a letter to Andhra Pradesh DGP K.V. Rajendranath Reddy, alleging that the police have failed miserably to control crime in the state. He mentioned the details of various crimes that took place in the last four days.

Chandrababu blamed the ruling YSRCP government for deterioration of law and order in AP. “Deceased Ganji Prasad’s wife had alleged that Gopalapuram MLA Talari Venkat Rao was responsible for the murder of her husband,” he said. He criticised police for not stopping the YSRCP activists from attacking the TDP leaders, who were on their way to file nominations in elections to the Kalahasthi Co-Operative Milk Supply Society.

The TDP chief stated that police would have prevented gangrape of a married woman at Repalle police station if the law and order was in place. “Availability of ganja and liquor at several points are reason for increase in violence and crime,” he explained.
