Twitter war between TRS MLC Kavitha and TPCC Chief Revanth
Hyderabad, May 6: As Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is set to address a public meeting at the Arts College grounds in Warangal today, Twitter war broke out between TRS MLC K. Kavitha and TPCC president Revanth Reddy.
In a tweet, the TRS leader asked as to why the Congress was silent when the TRS was fighting with the Modi government on several issues including the uniform paddy procurement policy, national status for irrigation projects, discrimination in establishing educational institutions, and non-release of pending GST funds. Kavitha said that several states are emulating the Telangana in implementation of welfare schemes such as Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema , Kalyana Lakshmi, Aarogya Lakshmi, and Aasara.
Responding to Kavitha’s tweet, Revanth asked as to why the TRS did not respond when the BJP government at Centre had introduced three controversial farm laws in the Parliament. He alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao gave in writing to the Centre that the FCI will not procure boiled rice from Telangana farmers.
