Lok Sabha 2024: BJP's Latest Candidate List Reveals Six Picks from Telangana

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its second list of 72 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday, including names from various states. The list features six candidates from Telangana, namely Raghunandan Rao from Medak, DK Aruna from Mahbubnagar, Sitaram Naik from Mahabubabad, Saidi Reddy from Nalgonda, Gomasi Srinivas from Peddapalli, and Nagesh from Adilabad. This release follows an initial list that announced candidates for nine Lok Sabha seats, bringing the total to 15, with only two remaining seats in Telangana (Khammam and Warangal) yet to be announced.
In the 2019 elections, Soyam Bapu Rao from Adilabad secured a win for the BJP. During those elections, four MPs from Telangana were elected under the BJP banner, three of whom were included in the first list of candidates. The second list now adds one more candidate from Adilabad.
Overall, the new list includes one candidate from Dadra and Nagar Haveli, six from Telangana, two from Delhi, seven from Gujarat, six from Haryana, two from Himachal Pradesh, 20 from Karnataka, five from Madhya Pradesh, 20 from Maharashtra, one from Tripura, and two from Uttarakhand.
