Key Cuts and Edits Suggested for 'Pushpa 2' by the Censor Board
Currently, all conversations and discussions are centered around 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. The movie has garnered immense anticipation not only in India but globally. Directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun in the lead role, this sequel has set high expectations. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
The trailer launch event in Patna, Bihar, recently became a nationwide sensation. Released in the presence of nearly 300,000 fans, the trailer created a massive buzz with its grandeur and appeal, further intensifying interest in 'Pushpa 2'. The film, set to release on December 5, completed its censor formalities on Wednesday. The censor board has granted the movie a U/A certificate.
The censor board, however, suggested a few modifications to the 3-hour, 20-minute, and 38-second runtime. Five key changes were recommended, including replacing the word “Randi” with an alternate term and muting another objectionable word.
Additionally, the word “Venkateshwar” was suggested to be substituted with “God.” Scenes depicting the hero breaking the antagonist’s leg and holding a severed hand were asked to be revised using CGI.
Fahadh Faasil stars as the antagonist, with notable performances by Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj in supporting roles.
