Dhanunjay Reddy and Krishnamohan Reddy Remanded Until the 20th of This Month
A significant development has emerged in the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam case. The ACB Court in Vijayawada has remanded K. Dhanunjay Reddy and Krishnamohan Reddy, who previously served in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) during the tenure of the previous government, until the 20th of this month.
K. Dhanunjay Reddy, a former secretary in the CMO and listed as Accused No. 31 in the case, and Krishnamohan Reddy, a former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and Accused No. 32, were arrested by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials on Friday night. Following their arrest, both individuals were presented before the ACB Court on Saturday.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the judge ordered remand for both individuals. As per the court’s instructions, they are to be transferred to Vijayawada District Jail.
The CID's investigation into this liquor scam is currently progressing intensively. So far, a total of seven individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. Previously, the CID had arrested Raj Kasireddy, Chanakya, Sajjala Sridhar Reddy, Dilip, and Govindappa Balaji. With the recent arrests of Dhanunjay Reddy and Krishnamohan Reddy, the number of arrested individuals has now reached seven.
According to reports, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe the scam has preliminarily identified Dhanunjay Reddy and Krishnamohan Reddy as playing highly significant roles in the scheme. Further in-depth inquiry into their involvement is expected to take place.
