Rain Expected in Telangana for the Next Three Days

The India Meteorological Department has issued a fresh weather update predicting rainfall across parts of Telangana over the next three days. The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre announced that sporadic showers are expected in the state, bringing some relief to residents.

According to the forecast, gusty winds with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kilometres per hour may accompany the rain. The department also stated that maximum temperatures during this period are likely to be 3 to 5 degrees Celsius below the seasonal average.

The meteorological office added that the southwest monsoon is advancing further, signalling a shift away from the oppressive summer heat. This development is particularly welcomed by city dwellers who have been enduring high temperatures and stifling humidity.

On Sunday, light showers were recorded in Hyderabad, providing a brief respite from the heat. Rain fell in areas such as Kondapur, Kukatpally, Secunderabad, and LB Nagar. As a result, waterlogging occurred on several roads, disrupting vehicular movement and causing inconvenience to commuters.
