CID Files Case Against Former YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy

The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) has filed a case against former Mangalagiri MLA and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, also known as RK. The case pertains to an attack on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) central office in 2021. CID officials have named Alla Ramakrishna Reddy as the 127th accused in the case.

The incident in question took place on October 19, 2021, during the tenure of the previous YSRCP government. On that day, a group of unidentified individuals attacked the TDP central office located in Mangalagiri. The attack caused significant unrest at the time and attracted widespread attention.

Following a change in the state government, the coalition administration transferred the case to the CID for further investigation. The CID subsequently expedited the probe into the matter. As part of the ongoing investigation, the CID has already arrested former YSRCP Member of Parliament Nandigam Suresh in connection with the same incident.
