Revanth Reddy’s Remarks on Modi Spark Strong Reaction from Kishan Reddy
Chief Minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy’s comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi have triggered a political storm. Addressing issues related to the ceasefire with Pakistan and the Rafale fighter jet deal, Revanth Reddy made serious allegations that drew sharp criticism from the leaders of the Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Union Minister and BJP Telangana State President Kishan Reddy strongly responded, denouncing the Congress Party’s stance.
During the 'Jai Hind Sabha' held yesterday, Revanth Reddy alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a unilateral decision regarding the ceasefire with Pakistan. “While the people of the country and our brave soldiers were determined to annihilate Pakistan, the central government doused their fervor,” he said. He further accused the Prime Minister of compromising the self-respect of 1.4 billion Indians to then-U.S. President Donald Trump, stating, “Prime Minister Modi pledged the pride of 140 crore Indians to President Trump.”
The Telangana BJP responded harshly to these remarks through its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. In a sarcastic tone, the party stated, “Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who thinks a fighter jet is a toy found next to Dilsukhnagar Road, makes a laughingstock of himself when he speaks about the Rafale jets—even a first-grade student would laugh.”
Kishan Reddy also issued strong criticism against Revanth Reddy. “From senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Congress Party continues to belittle our armed forces,” he said, expressing his anger. He claimed that this is not the first time the Congress Party has engaged in low-level politics, adding that they had previously questioned the legitimacy of the surgical strikes. Kishan Reddy further alleged on X, “For the Congress Party, speaking the language of our enemies has become customary.”
