Kalvakuntla Kavitha Denies New Party Plans, Opposes BRS-BJP Merger

Kalvakuntla Kavitha, Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), stated that she is completely innocent in the Delhi liquor policy case and added that the judiciary has also affirmed this position. She emphasized that her primary objective is to safeguard the BRS party and expressed strong opposition to the idea of merging BRS with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Kalvakuntla Kavitha was in Mancherial today to participate in several private events, where she received a grand welcome from Telangana Jagruthi activists. On this occasion, she paid floral tributes at the statue of Mother Telangana.

Speaking to the media afterward, she reiterated that the allegations against her in the Delhi liquor case are baseless. She strongly condemned any move to merge BRS with the BJP. Kalvakuntla Kavitha stated, "If BRS joins hands with the BJP, it would be tantamount to admitting guilt in the liquor case."

She clarified that she has no intention of starting a new political party. She also mentioned that she does not believe the BRS party will expel her. Kalvakuntla Kavitha announced that she will soon organise a meeting with Backward Classes (BC) associations at the district headquarters of Adilabad. She stated that the gathering will focus on discussing the issues and development needs of the BC communities.
