Man dies while fleeing as knife tied to rooster pierces his stomach
Tirupati (Chittoor): In a tragic incident, a man died when a knife tied to his rooster pierced his stomach at Nippuvanam village in Paddamandyam mandal of Chittoor district.
According to police, they received information stating that a rooster fight was going on near the local Kalicherla Poleramma temple. Soon after, they raided the premises and on seeing the police, punters and players fled the spot.
However, a man, who took part in the cock fight, tried to take his rooster, along with him, but in a mad rush while fleeing the knife that tied to the rooster pierced his stomach. As the knife was so sharp, it started bleeding profusely. Immediately, he was shifted to the public healthcare centre (PHC). But, he died while undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, police arrested 12 for indulging in cock fights.
