Tension prevails at Mirudoddi Police Station in Siddipet dist as BJP MLA stages protest

Hyderabad: BJP leader and Dubbak MLA Raghunandan Rao on Thursday staged a protest inside the police station accusing the police of not providing security to him during his tour in Mirudoddi. Tension prevailed at the Miruddi Police Station in Siddipet district after Raghunandan Rao arrived at the police station on Thursday and sit in a protest. 

Raghunandan Rao, who won the by-election as Dubaka MLA, was touring Mirudoddi when women obstructed him and questioned why the promises he had made during the elections were not fulfilled. There was a melee on the occasion. Therefore, Raghunandan Rao was deeply saddened by the incident and opined that the incident took place as he was not provided with adequate security.

Hence, he rushed to the Mirudoddi Police Station and demanded that action be taken against the two police officers, alleging that Mirudoddi SI and CI were responsible for the clashes that took place during his visit and that they had not deliberately provided security to him. Raghunandan Rao did not listen to the pleas of the police to withdraw the protests. On learning about the incident, the BJP workers rushed to the police station in large numbers. Assessing the situation, the police closed the gates of the police station as a precautionary measure.
