Tirupati: Minister Roja flays Chandrababu’s 'Badude Badudu' programme
Tirupati, May 5: Addressing a public meeting at Tarakarama Stadium here on Thursday, Minister Roja said that Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu has been criticising Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy unable to digest his popularity among people. She said that Jagan is the only CM, who is implementing 31 social welfare schemes including 25 Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and 6 non-DBT. “Every family in the state is availing minimum 6 welfare schemes under the YSRCP rule,” she added.
Taking pot shots at Chandrababu’s 'Badude Badudu' programme, the minister mentioned that already people had defeated the TDP in local body elections. “TDP will not get even 23 Assembly seats in the next elections,” she said and thanked the CM for visiting Tirupati to credit funds under the Jagananna Vidya Deevena into the accounts of mothers. She further said that the YSRCP government had released Rs 11,000 crore towards Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Jagananna Vasathi Deevena schemes in the last three years.
