Hyd: Woman dies on her birthday after being hit by MMTS train at Khairatabad

Hyderabad, May 19: In a shocking incident, a woman died on her birthday at Khairatabad railway station here. Initially, the Railway police registered a case and recorded her name as an unidentified woman. Later in the day, they came to know that her name was Lavanya.
 
The deceased was resident of Sholapur in Maharashtra. She got married to Gopal but she was in the process of taking divorce from her husband because of his bad behaviour.
 
Lavanya moved to Hyderabad three years ago along with her children and parents. She was working as a telecaller in a private firm. After celebrating her birthday with family members, she left to office. The mishap took place while she stood on a railway track waiting to cross railway station. She died on the spot when side rod of MMTS train hit her head. The body of Lavanya was shifted to government hospital for post-mortem.
