KCR plotted to become CM by destablising Chandrababu govt before 2001, reveals Chandrashekhar

Hyderabad, June 2: Former minister and Telangana BJP leader Dr A. Chandrashekhar revealed that K. Chandrashekar Rao, the present Telangana Chief Minister, had plotted to become CM by destablising TDP government led by Chandrababu before 2001.

“KCR, I and late senior TDP leader Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy garnered the support of 60 MLAs,” he said while addressing a BJP meeting at Nagole here on Thursday. Chandrashekhar stated that their plot was exposed when they sought support of the then MLA Jyothula Nehru as he informed Chandrababu. “I and KCR got a chance as ministers in Chandrababu’s Cabinet from 1995-1999,” he mentioned and said that Naidu did not induct both of them in 1999 Cabinet after elections.

“But, the TDP chief appointed KCR as Deputy Speaker in the Legislative Assembly instead of making him minister,” he stated. The BJP leader said that he narrated entire episode to illustrate KCR hunger to become CM.
