Hyderabad, June 4: The main Opposition parties Congress and BJP demanded that the TRS government should order CBI probe into minor gang-rape in a moving car at Jubilee Hills here on May 28.
While condemning gang-rape incident in Hyderabad, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that law and order has deteriorated in the state. “The KCR government has increased liquor selling points in order to generate revenue. As a result, consumption of liquor has increased, leading to anti-social activities,” he mentioned.
Meanwhile, Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay wrote an open letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, seeking CBI investigation into gang-rape case. “According to media reports, Home Minister Mahmood Ali’s grandson, son of MIM MLA, Waqf Board Chairman's son and son of a TRS leader have role in the case,” he said and alleged that the police officials are trying to save kin of MIM and TRS leaders by tampering CCTV footage and other evidence.
