I am joining Congress on June 23: PJR’s daughter Vijaya Reddy

Hyderabad, June 18: TRS corporator and former Congress leader P Janardhan Reddy’s daughter Vijaya Reddy decided to quit the TRS and join the Congress. She met TPCC president Revanth Reddy here on Saturday.
 
Talking to reporters, Vijaya Reddy said that she will be joining the Congress officially on June 23. “I have taken decision to join the Congress after discussing with my well-wishers and followers,” she stated.
 
The corporator said that his father was associated with the Congress. “I will walk in the footsteps of my father to carry out his legacy in politics,” she mentioned and added that common people are looking towards the Congress in the wake of protests across the country on several issues.
 
Vijaya made it clear that she is joining the Congress to serve people and not for posts. To a question, she said that she could not continue with the TRS because of its party structure.
