Nellore: TDP activists led by Kotamreddy demolishes divider at Narthaki centre

Nellore, June 27:  The TDP workers led by party’s Nellore city in-charge Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy demolished newly constructed divider opposite NTR statue at Narthaki Centre on Monday morning. Earlier, the Nellore Urban Development Authority (NUDA) officials assured Kotamreddy that further construction of divider will not be taken up in the wake of objection raised by the TDP.

But, the TDP activists destroyed the divider. They alleged that ruling YSRCP behind the construction of divider in order to stop the TDP from staging protests near the NTR statue. Further, the TDP accused YSRCP is planning to instal YSR statue in place of NTR.

The police recorded the video of the TDP workers, who were involved in demolishing the divider. Cases will be registered against them based on complaint, cops said. The NUDA stated that they are constructing divider to ease traffic on the busy road. The TDP came under criticism from a section of people for damaging the divider.
