Accord Special Status to Andhra Pradesh: CM Jagan appeals to PM Modi

Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to grant Special Status to Andhra Pradesh, which has been affected by the bifurcation. CM Jagan, who bid farewell to the Prime Minister at the Gannavaram airport on Monday, handed over a document containing many appeals to the Prime Minister.

► Referring to the issue of resource gap grant… Rs 34,125.5 crore were requested to be given as a grant under the resource gap.
► Rs 6,627.28 crore due to AP Genco from Telangana Discoms should be given
► Approve Rs.55,548.87 crore for the Polavaram project as per revised estimates
► There is no rationality in the matter of ration given to the state under the National Food Security Act. Due to this, the state is suffering a heavy loss. Appropriate steps should be taken to amend it and benefit the state.
► Adequate financial assistance should be given to newly established medical colleges in the state.
► Clearances for the Bhogapuram airport should be granted
► CM Jagan appealed to the Prime Minister to allocate iron ore mines to APMDC
