Pawan Kalyan skipping PM Modi meeting in Bhimavaram raises eyebrows

West Godavari, July 5: Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan did not attend the unveiling statue of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bhimavaram on Monday despite Union Minister Kishan Reddy inviting him to the event. Interestingly, his brother and megastar Chiranjeevi participated in the event.

Political analysts opined that actor-turned-politician skipped the programme as he did not want to share stage with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. It’s also a plan to send an indication to the BJP leadership that he wants maintain distance with them for not declaring him as chief ministerial candidate of the BJP-Jana Sena alliance for next Assembly elections.

However, Pawan Kalyan released a video message thanking Kishan Reddy for inviting him to the programme. Some say that the Jana Sena chief is getting closer to the TDP so he distanced himself from the BJP by not attending the event.
