Countering Oppn’s criticism, Speaker Tammineni vows to speak in all YSRCP meetings
Guntur, July 18: Responding to criticism from Opposition parties, Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram on Saturday made it clear that he will speak in every YSRCP meeting while addressing delegates on the second day YSRCP plenary at Mangalagiri here.
It is a tradition in India that once a ruling party MLA becomes Speaker of the Legislative Assembly then he has to disassociate with his affiliate political party. But, former Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao and present Tammineni have defied tradition.
While thanking the YSRCP for giving him an opportunity to speak in plenary, Sitaram gave a call to party cadre to make success of Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam programme so that the YSRCP comes to power once again in 2024.
Further, he stated that he will serve the YSRCP till he is alive. “I am not concerned about posts but I will work with commitment for the YSRCP so that children of our state will have better future,” he mentioned.
