TDP raises objection over Kodali Nani’s photo at Gudivada municipal office entrance

Gudivada, August 25: The TDP on Thursday demanded that photo of former minister and YSRCP MLA Kodali Nani should be removed from municipal corporation office here. A large size portrait of Kodali Nani was installed at the entrance of newly constructed municipal office when he was minister.

Former minister and TDP leader Katari Eswar Kumar raised objection for not removing Kodali Nani’s photo despite he was removed from the Cabinet. He spoke to Municipal Commissioner Sampath Kumar over phone and urged him to remove MLA’s photo.

Speaking to the media, Eswar Kumar mentioned that photos of president, prime minister and chief minister are only allowed in government offices. “No photo of minister or MLA should be kept in government institutions,” he mentioned. He warned to stage a dharna if municipal commissioner fails to remove photo of Kodali Nani within a week. He suggested that authorities should fix portrait of Dr BR Ambedkar in the place Kodali Nani’s photo.
