Organising Ganesh festival on bigger scale after Telangana state formed: Talasani
Hyderabad, August 31: Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Wednesday said that the Ganesh Chaturthi festival is being celebrated on a grand scale after separate state for Telangana came into existence in 2014.
Talking to reporters after offering prayers to Lord Ganesha idol at Khairatabad here, Talasani stated that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) had instructed to celebrate festivals of all religions on mega scale with fervour and gaiety.
Following CM orders, the TRS government is organising all festivals on large scale by releasing funds, he stated. He said that all arrangements are in place for immersion of idols. “We are ensuring hassle-free Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations with the coordination of all departments,” he mentioned and said that Khairatabad’s Ganesh idol has set an example to others as it was completely made up of mud. GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, TRS MLA from Khairatabad Danam Nagender and other TRS leaders were present.
