TRS govt creating obstacles for immersion of Ganesh idols: Bandi Sanjay

Hyderabad, September 5: Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that the TRS government is creating obstacles for immersion of Ganesh idols. Speaking to the media here on Monday, he warned that Ganesh idols will be immersed in Pragathi Bhavan if proper arrangements were not made.

Sanjay alleged that Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar is creating hurdles for immersion by highlighting Supreme Court orders. He accused KCR government of plotting to stop immersion celebrations in the name of environment pollution and usage of chemicals in making of Ganesh idols.

The BJP chief mentioned that the Telangana government is projecting Hindu festivals as disturbance to law and order. “Every year, the state government is trying to reduce Ganesh pandals,” he criticised and added that the BJP wants immersion event in peaceful atmosphere.

Bandi further said that the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi (BGUS) made all arrangements for immersion of Ganesh idols in Hyderabad. “Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is aiming to get votes of a particular community by creating law and order problem during Hindu festivals,” he alleged.
