AP’s financial situation stable, state first in growth rate: CM Jagan
Amaravati, September 16: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy gave powerpoint presentation on Andhra Pradesh economy on the second day of monsoon session of the Legislative Assembly here on Friday. He clarified that financial position of AP is stable and state stood first in growth rate among all states.
The CM said AP’s economy is strong despite facing several challenges including pandemic and the YSRCP government fulfilled 98.4 election promises till date. “Some forces are trying to obstruct welfare schemes by filing petitions in the High Court,” he alleged and accused a few vernacular dailies of spreading false news on state’s finances.
Jagan Reddy mentioned that AP’s rank in GDP climbed from 21st to six. Further, he said that only four states in the country have registered growth in GDP and one among them is AP. “Borrowing of loans rose to 123% in Chandrababu’s previous tenure whereas my government borrowed only 12.73% loans in the last three years,” the CM said.
