AP govt remote-controlled by PM Modi: Rahul Gandhi

Kurnool, October 20: “Andhra Pradesh government is remote-controlled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” alleged Congress MP Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting at Arekal village in Adoni mandal as part of his Bharat Jodo Yatra. He stated that the BJP is controlling all political parties in AP through remote control.

Further, Rahul alleged that the AP government has commitments with the BJP. But the Congress has to fulfil lot of commitments which were promised during the bifurcation of the state. “Congress is committed to construction of Polavaram national project, granting Special Category Status (SCS), and development of backward Rayalaseema region,” he said.

The MP demanded that the BJP-led NDA government to fulfil the promises mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Act. He did not agree with the proposal of three capitals to AP. Earlier, Rahul assured that the UPA government will accord SCS to AP and complete Polavaram once it comes to power.
