Kejriwal's First Reaction After Arrest: "My Life is Dedicated to the Country"
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, is currently present at the Rouse Avenue Court. Kejriwal was brought before the court this afternoon by ED officials. In his first response after the arrest, while being taken into the court hall, Kejriwal said, "Whether inside (jail) or outside, my life is dedicated to the country. Even from behind bars, I will continue to work for our nation."
The ED officials arrested Kejriwal at 9 PM last night. He was moved to the ED's main office with heavy security through another gate of his residence. He was not allowed to speak with anyone and was kept in the ED office throughout the night. After medical examinations in the afternoon, he was presented in court. Responding briefly to the media's questions while entering the court, he was then taken inside.
