Purandeswari Denies Family's Involvement in Vizag Drug Case
A recent discovery of 25,000 kilograms of drugs in a container shipped from Brazil to Vishakhapatnam Port has caused a stir. While the TDP alleges that this drug deal is connected to YSRCP leaders, the YSRCP has been implicating relatives of BJP state chief Purandeswari, including her son and son-in-law.
In response, Purandeswari clarified that her family has no connection to the Vishakhapatnam drugs case and expressed frustration over the unnecessary allegations against her family.
Purandeswari attended a Lok Sabha constituency meeting in Rajahmundry today, where AP BJP co-incharge Siddharth Nath Singh was also present. During the meeting, she responded to the allegations and emphasized the critical need for a coalition victory in the state. She argued that both the state and the central government need to be controlled by the coalition to address the destructive and chaotic governance observed in the state over the last five years. She criticized the current state administration for reaching a point where even the state secretariat had to be mortgaged. Purandeswari called on everyone to take responsibility for bringing about change in the state.
