KTR writes to Revanth Reddy on weavers' issues

Hyderabad: BRS Working President has written a letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighting the issues faced by weavers. The letter accuses the Congress government of harboring animosity towards the weavers. It questions the government's inaction even as weavers resort to suicide and face dire straits. The letter expresses concern that the state is witnessing a crisis similar to that experienced a decade ago under united Andhra Pradesh, suggesting that Congress policies are detrimental to the weavers' livelihoods. It was highlighted that the Congress government has halted orders for weavers.

The letter demands immediate provision of orders to weavers, as was done previously, including orders for Bathukamma sarees and clearance of pending bills halted due to election codes. It accuses the Congress government of sidelining schemes like Chenetha Mitra.

It urges the government to implement all ongoing programs and to provide additional assistance as necessary. The letter criticizes the approach of blaming the previous government for the plight of weavers, comparing the situation to the distressing suicides among farmers. It warns that neglecting the textile industry could have severe consequences for the Congress party.
