Sajjala Defends Jagan’s Manifesto, Criticizes Opposition's Empty Promises

Yesterday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy released the YSR Congress Party's manifesto, which was subsequently detailed in a media briefing by the state government advisor, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. Sajjala emphasized that fulfilling the manifesto is feasible only for Jagan, highlighting the Chief Minister's commitment to implementing 99% of the promised measures—a rare achievement in politics.

The release of the manifesto has raised significant expectations, with many curious about what new promises Jagan would unveil. Sajjala pointed out that the manifesto is a reflection of the government's clear plan for all sections of society over the next five years and not just a collection of impractical promises.

Criticisms were not absent, as opposition voices, like Chandrababu Naidu, dismissed the manifesto as empty and deceptive. During its release, Naidu was accused of using inappropriate language, undermining the societal norms, and previously making unfulfilled promises himself.

Sajjala defended the manifesto's credibility, stating that people have developed trust in YSRCP due to their consistency in fulfilling election promises. He underscored the difference between the unmet commitments of Chandrababu, who promised a loan waiver of Rs. 87,000 crores but delivered only between Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 15,000 crores, and Jagan's administration, which aims to meet and exceed its promises.

Sajjala concluded by questioning the integrity of opposition manifestos, which often promise the moon just months before elections, leaving the public to decide their credibility in the upcoming elections.
