Amaravati is the Capital of Andhra Pradesh: Chandrababu

Amaravati: Chandrababu Naidu has clarified that Amaravati will remain the capital of Andhra Pradesh. He stated that there will be no more discussions about having three capitals in the state. He called for the development of Visakhapatnam as the economic and modern capital. Chandrababu made these remarks during the NDA legislative party meeting held on Tuesday in Vijayawada. He expressed gratitude for being chosen as the leader of the coalition legislative party and emphasized the responsibility they have to honor the public's decision and maintain their trust.

Chandrababu mentioned that the time has come to collectively repay the debt to the people. He highlighted the importance of central government cooperation for the state's development and assured that the Polavaram project would be completed with its support. He noted that during their five-year term after coming to power in 2014, they had completed 72% of the Polavaram project. Despite the diaphragm wall being damaged by floods, he promised to complete the project and provide water to every acre in the state by connecting the rivers.

Chandrababu accused the previous government of causing the state's deterioration over the past five years, leading to a whirlwind of issues. He stated that all sections of the state suffered, with farmers falling into debt. He explained that they will begin the work of revitalizing Andhra Pradesh, focusing on constructive politics rather than revengeful ones. "The position of Chief Minister is for service, not for dominance. The CM is just an ordinary person like everyone else. Along with my friend Pawan Kalyan, we will reach out to the people as commoners," he said.

Chandrababu assured that during the CM's visits, there will no longer be instances of closing shops, blocking roads, or putting up curtains. He stated that vehicles will not be stopped at signals for the CM's convoy.
