MLC Kavitha Denied Bail by Delhi High Court

MLC Kavitha of BRS, who was arrested in the Delhi liquor policy case and is currently in Tihar Jail, faced a setback in the Delhi High Court. The court denied her bail. Both the ED and CBI cases against her saw the High Court rejecting her bail petitions. Initially arrested by the ED, followed by the CBI, Kavitha had filed petitions seeking bail in both cases, but she was met with disappointment.

The High Court, agreeing with the arguments of the investigative agencies ED and CBI, refused to grant bail to Kavitha. She has been in Tihar Jail for over three months. Subsequently, Kavitha had filed bail petitions in the Rouse Avenue Court for both the CBI and ED cases. When bail was not granted there, she approached the High Court. Now, there is a possibility that Kavitha might appeal to the Supreme Court for bail.
