Revanth Reddy's Government Owes Rs. 20,000 to Every Woman: Kishan Reddy

Union Minister Kishan Reddy stated that the Congress had promised to provide Rs. 2,500 per month to women upon coming to power, which means Revanth Reddy's government now owes Rs. 20,000 to every woman. He made these remarks during a protest organized by the BJP Mahila Morcha at Dharna Chowk in Hyderabad. He criticized the Congress party for making numerous unfulfilled promises. He questioned when the promised Rs. 4,000 pension for the elderly would be implemented.

He expressed anger over the unfulfilled promise of providing Rs. 1 lakh and a tola of gold under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme. He accused the government of reducing the number of buses while offering free travel to women. He stated that none of the promises made to women in Telangana have been fulfilled, hence the BJP has taken the responsibility to question the government on their behalf. He commented that they would pressure the Chief Minister to fulfill these promises. He also criticized the Congress government in Karnataka for setting aside their promises.

Kishan Reddy accused the Telangana government of imposing RR taxes and using those funds for Rahul Gandhi's tours. He demanded that the government specify when they would start implementing the promises. He questioned the handling of loans taken under various schemes. He demanded the Chief Minister shut down belt shops if he has any respect for women. He pointed out that even after ten years of the state's formation, new ration cards have not been issued, resulting in women being unable to obtain gas connections. He questioned what loss the government would incur by issuing new ration cards. He mentioned that the Modi government at the center provides rice to everyone with a white ration card.
