Raghu Rama Krishna Raju's Complaint Leads to Case Against Ex-CM Jagan

A case has been registered against former Chief Minister Jagan. This case pertains to the custodial torture of TDP MLA Raghu Rama Krishna Raju. The charges were filed under Sections 120B, 166, 167, 197, 307, 326, 465, 508 (34) based on Raju's complaint at Nagarampalem Police Station in Guntur district. Raju has alleged that there was an attempt on his life during his custody. In this case, Jagan has been listed as Accused 3. Former CID DG Sunil Kumar is Accused 1, IPS officer Seetharamanjaneyulu is Accused 2, followed by Vijayapal (Accused 4) and Dr. Prabhavati (Accused 5). Several other names are also mentioned in the FIR.

The incident in question occurred on May 14, 2021, and Raju filed the complaint yesterday. He claimed that he was illegally arrested under Jagan's pressure. Despite informing that he had undergone bypass surgery, he was tortured in custody, with the assailants allegedly sitting on his chest in an attempt to kill him. Raju stated that he was beaten for not revealing his phone password. Additionally, he filed a complaint against Dr. Prabhavati from GGH, accusing her of providing false medical reports under police pressure. Raju further mentioned that former CID DG Sunil Kumar threatened to kill him for criticizing Jagan.
