Vijayasai Reddy criticizes TDP for accepting ₹15,000 Crores, missing golden opportunities

Amaravati: YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy expressed dissatisfaction with the central budget allocation to Andhra Pradesh, accusing the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) of being content with ₹15,000 crores and missing out on better opportunities.

Vijayasai explained that the ₹15,000 crores announced for Andhra Pradesh are loans, not direct funds. He noted that Bihar received ₹26,000 crores as a direct allocation, highlighting the difference.

Vijayasai said, "Chief Minister Jagan wants the central government to rely on Andhra Pradesh MPs someday. But today, coalition MPs missed that chance. It's shameful! We need ₹1.5 lakh crores for Amaravati's construction, but the central government has given almost nothing, and TDP is satisfied with that."

He also claimed that the TDP has a deal with the BJP. In exchange for their support, TDP leaders are being protected from investigations into several scams. Vijayasai said the people of Andhra Pradesh are suffering because of this.

Furthermore, he criticized the TDP for thanking the central government for the minimal amounts given, stating, "Why be grateful? Everything given today is already mentioned in the State Reorganization Act. No extra budget allocations were made," he concluded.
