They Derive Demonic Pleasure by Changing My surname": Sharmila

A war of words is intensifying on social media between the ruling TDP coalition in Andhra Pradesh and the opposition YSR Congress Party (YCP). In this context, Y.S. Sharmila, President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress, has also expressed her views on the situation. Sharmila stressed that social media should always contribute positively to society. However, she condemned certain individuals whom she described as "psychos" for using social media destructively, especially by aligning with "psycho parties."

Sharmila accused these individuals of behaving inhumanely, disregarding human relationships and familial respect. She criticized them for making posts without sensitivity toward women, particularly mothers and sisters. She alleged that these individuals find “demonic pleasure” in creating obscene posts targeting outspoken women.

"I am also a victim of these social media psychos. They have attacked my reputation with indecent posts. Strict action must be taken against these psychos who enjoy making malicious posts. They have spread unrestrained content about me, my mother, and my sister Sunitha. They even went to the extent of claiming I am not the daughter of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and took 'demonic pleasure' in altering my surname," Sharmila stated.

She further mentioned that she has filed a case against Varra Ravinder Reddy, who has allegedly been posting offensive content about her. Sharmila welcomed the police's action in taking Ravinder Reddy into custody, adding, "No matter which party they belong to, those who post such deplorable content should be held accountable."
