Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu’s Statement on World AIDS Day

Today, December 1, marks World AIDS Day. On this occasion, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shared his thoughts on social media. He emphasized the need to continue the journey that started with breaking the silence about AIDS and strive to eradicate the epidemic by 2030. He highlighted that an estimated 3.25 lakh people in Andhra Pradesh are living with HIV, with a significant number of cases reported among the youth.

He stressed the importance of public awareness, accessible treatment, and connecting communities with ART (Antiretroviral Therapy) centers within a 50 km radius as key measures to control AIDS. Urging society to work toward a stigma-free world, Naidu called for renewed commitment to ensure health and dignity for all.
