Plane Crashes into Residential Building in Brazil; 10 Dead, Video Released

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday in Gramado, a popular tourist destination in Brazil. A small aircraft crashed into a residential building, initially striking the chimney before plunging into the second floor. The plane landed on a mobile phone store located in the building, according to an official statement from Brazil's Civil Defense Agency.

The crash resulted in the death of all 10 people aboard the plane. Additionally, over 12 individuals in the vicinity sustained injuries. Thick smoke and flames erupted after the crash, leading to breathing difficulties for many. Emergency responders quickly transported the injured to a nearby hospital, where two are reported to be in critical condition.

The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time. Local media reports revealed that all the passengers aboard the aircraft belonged to the same family. The group was traveling from Rio Grande do Sul to Sao Paulo state.

The town of Gramado, where the incident occurred, is situated in a mountainous region known for its cold weather and frequent fog. This area attracts a large number of tourists during the Christmas holidays.
