CM Chandrababu Greenlights ₹2,723 Crore for Amaravati Development

After the coalition government assumed power, construction activities in Amaravati, the state capital, have resumed with renewed momentum. With support from the central government and backing from the World Bank, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is expediting the development of Amaravati. In the latest move, the Chief Minister has approved ₹2,723 crore for new projects in the region. These decisions were taken during the 44th meeting of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA).

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to complete and inaugurate 1.18 lakh Tidco housing units by June 12. Additionally, the government has decided to enhance basic infrastructure in Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) Zone 7 and Zone 10. Discussions during the meeting also included progress on the Amaravati Ring Road and the Vijayawada Bypass Road projects.

The CRDA has so far approved projects worth ₹47,288 crore for the development of the Amaravati capital region.
