TTD Trust Board Takes Key Decisions at Meeting
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board convened on Tuesday under the chairmanship of B.R. Naidu at the Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala. Executive Officer J. Syamala Rao was present at the meeting, where several important resolutions were adopted.
In alignment with instructions from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the board approved the formation of an expert committee to provide recommendations for the global expansion of TTD temples and assets. It was decided that further actions would be taken based on the committee’s report.
The board resolved to construct Sri Venkateswara temples in key locations across the country to facilitate broader access for devotees.
To enhance healthcare services at the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), the board recommended to the state government that it request national status for the hospital from the central government.
Recognizing the needs of devotees walking along the footpath routes, the board approved the recruitment of civil assistant surgeons, nurses, paramedical staff, and advanced medical equipment to improve healthcare services.
The introduction of a feedback management system was also approved, aimed at improving services for devotees. The board resolved to collect feedback with the assistance of the Andhra Pradesh Digital Corporation.
For better food quality and service in TTD canteens, the board approved a new licensing policy involving prominent national firms. Additionally, 258 personnel will be hired on a contract basis through SLMSPC to ensure high standards in the Annadanam (free meals) program.
A financial aid of ₹2 crore from the SV Educational Trust was approved for a school operated under the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham in Tirupati.
To prioritize food safety for devotees, the board approved the establishment of a dedicated food safety department, including the recruitment of a senior food safety officer through SLMSPC Corporation.
For the convenience of devotees in Sarvadarshan queue lines, the board sanctioned the construction of six toilet blocks between Alwar Tank Rest Houses and Bata Gangamma Circle at an estimated cost of ₹3.36 crore.
The board approved a golden Kalash (ornamental finial) worth ₹43 lakh for the Vimana Gopuram of the Kodanda Ramaswamy Temple in Ontimitta.
The construction of a Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Mumbai was discussed, and the board resolved to request the Maharashtra government to reduce the lease price for 3.60 acres of land allotted by CIDCO, currently priced at over ₹20 crore.
