Tollywood Delegation to Meet CM Revanth Reddy: Key Issues on the Agenda

In a highly anticipated meeting scheduled to take place shortly, prominent figures from the Tollywood film industry are set to meet Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The meeting, led by Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju, will be held at the Police Command Control Center in Banjara Hills at 10:00 AM today.

The delegation attending the meeting includes representatives from the Movie Artistes Association (MAA), Film Chamber of Commerce, and Federation of Film Workers, comprising 36 members. Notable attendees are producers D. Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, Supriya, Naga Vamsi, Ravi Shankar, Sunil Narang, and Naveen Yerneni. Actors Venkatesh, Nithiin, Varun Tej, Siva Balaji, and Kiran Abbavaram, as well as directors Trivikram Srinivas, Harish Shankar, Anil Ravipudi, Bobby, and Vamsi Paidipally, are also expected to participate.

From the government’s side, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, and Damodar Rajanarasimha are likely to attend. The meeting will focus on addressing key issues faced by the film industry.

The backdrop to this meeting is the government’s recent shift in policy following the stampede incident at Sandhya Theater. During a recent Assembly session, CM Revanth Reddy stated that no benefit shows or ticket price hikes would be permitted in the state moving forward. He further clarified that as long as he holds office, no special privileges will be extended to the film industry.

Given these developments, today's meeting holds significant importance for the future of the Tollywood industry and its relationship with the state government.
