CPI Narayana’s Remarks Ahead of CM Revanth Reddy’s Meeting with Film Personalities

Film personalities are scheduled to meet Chief Minister Revanth Reddy shortly. Against this backdrop, CPI leader Narayana made notable remarks, emphasizing the government's responsibility to avoid burdening the public. He criticized the increase in movie ticket prices, arguing that it encourages black market practices.

“Filmmakers are investing billions to produce movies and earning twice the amount,” Narayana alleged, questioning why governments would promote ticket price hikes. He suggested incentivizing films with meaningful messages rather than those promoting crime or obscenity. He expressed frustration over glorifying figures like red sandalwood smugglers as heroes, suggesting such portrayals negatively influence youth.

Narayana also criticized roadshows by film stars, stating that while fans naturally follow their idols, granting permission for such events is inappropriate.

Meanwhile, the upcoming meeting between the Chief Minister and film personalities has sparked widespread curiosity about the government's potential decisions.
