Sri Reddy Granted Conditional Bail by High Court
Actress Sri Reddy has received relief from the High Court in a case related to derogatory remarks made against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, ministers Nara Lokesh and Anitha, as well as their family members. Sri Reddy had allegedly posted objectionable content on social media, leading to six cases being registered against her in different police stations across the state.
Following her petition for anticipatory bail, the High Court conducted a hearing yesterday. In connection with a case registered in Visakhapatnam, the court granted her conditional anticipatory bail, directing her to appear before the investigating officer once a week.
However, the High Court dismissed her anticipatory bail petition in a case filed by Chittoor police, stating that it was not eligible for consideration.
Meanwhile, in the case registered in Anakapalli, Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) Sai Rohith presented arguments, bringing to the court’s attention that Sri Reddy had used highly objectionable language in her social media posts. After hearing the arguments, Justice K. Srinivasa Reddy postponed the hearing for a week.
Additionally, the court instructed the police to issue notices and seek explanations from Sri Reddy regarding the cases filed in Kurnool, Krishna, and Vizianagaram districts.
