Chandrababu Assures District Status for Markapuram
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Markapuram today (March 8) and participated in Women’s Day celebrations. Following the event, he met with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and party workers, where he made a significant announcement, stating that Markapuram would be designated as a district.
There has been a longstanding demand for making Markapuram a separate district. During the previous government’s tenure, Nandyal was made a district, but Markapuram remained part of Prakasam district. Today, Chandrababu Naidu gave a clear assurance on the formation of a new district.
He also affirmed his commitment to supporting dedicated party workers, stating that party positions would soon be filled, with priority given to those who have worked hard. Chandrababu Naidu mentioned that he is closely monitoring leaders' performance through regular reports. He emphasized that winning elections would enhance the respect and stature of party workers, adding that successive electoral victories would ensure stable governance in the state.
Chandrababu Naidu stressed the loyalty of party workers, declaring, “Every drop of blood in their bodies is yellow,” symbolizing their unwavering commitment to the TDP. He asserted that while leaders might come and go, party workers remain steadfast and dedicated. He further stated that he is constantly thinking about how to repay the sacrifices made by party workers.
Expressing dissatisfaction, Chandrababu Naidu criticized ministers and MLAs for not conducting meetings with party workers despite his instructions. He remarked that while online meetings might be held, direct interactions with party workers foster a stronger bond. “Seeing you in person and talking face-to-face strengthens our connection,” he said.
The Chief Minister also issued a stern warning regarding internal conflicts, stating that he had received reports of certain TDP leaders colluding with members of the YSRCP. He declared that such behavior would not be tolerated under any circumstances. Criticizing the YSRCP, he remarked, “When I point this out, they react angrily. Why? Do they expect our people to work for them instead?” He further questioned, “Should we serve you instead of the workers who have sacrificed their lives for the party?”
