Nagababu, Beeda Ravichandra, and Three Others Elected Unopposed as MLCs
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council elections under the MLA quota concluded unopposed. The Election Officer announced that only five nominations were submitted for the five available MLC seats, leading to an uncontested election. The deadline for the withdrawal of nominations ended this evening.
Among the elected members, three belong to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), while one candidate each was nominated by the Jana Sena Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). As a result, Konidela Nagendra Rao (Nagababu) from Jana Sena, Beeda Ravichandra (TDP), B. Tirumala Naidu (TDP), Kavali Greshma (TDP), and Somu Veerraju (BJP) have been elected unopposed.
Returning Officer R. Vanitha Rao confirmed the unopposed election of these candidates and issued their official certification.
