Chandrababu Responds with Laughter to Telangana MLA’s Comments About Him

Statements made by Communist Party of India (CPI) MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao in the Telangana Legislative Assembly about Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu have drawn attention across both Telugu states. Recalling the time when Nara Chandrababu Naidu served as Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao stated that Naidu had no ideological commitment and instead prioritized tourism. He remarked, “Back then, we were angered by his lack of ideology. But now, if there is any ideology that involves no expense, it is tourism.”

In response to these remarks, Nara Chandrababu Naidu reacted with laughter. He said that during that period, communists had criticized him for having no ideology, but now they are acknowledging that tourism, which involves minimal expenditure, is indeed a viable ideology. “It took them 30 years to understand my thoughts and words,” Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, smiling.

He further stated that there are immense opportunities for tourism development across the regions from Rayalaseema to North Andhra. The Chief Minister urged district collectors to focus on tourism development specific to each district. He emphasized that tourism can increase local employment opportunities and provide revenue for the government. He asserted that tourism is a sector that generates employment with minimal expenditure.
