“He Was YSR’s Anjaneyulu, Not A Public Servant”: TDP MLA on Arrested Ex-Intel Chief
TDP MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar strongly reacted to the arrest of former ACB DG and Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu, stating that it stands as a clear example that no one is above the law. Taking to X(formerly Twitter), the TDP MLA said, "PSR Anjaneyulu acted not as a public servant, but as YSR Anjaneyulu, misusing power with arrogance and vengeance."
Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar revealed that during the previous regime, PSR Anjaneyulu systematically harassed TDP leaders, dissenting voices, and even women, by filing false and fabricated cases, all while holding key positions in the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Intelligence Department. "He used his authority not for justice, but for revenge. He misused his post to threaten, arrest, and defame individuals across the state. He is the cause of tears for many women," he added.
The MLA further claimed that PSR Anjaneyulu's actions darkened the future of thousands of youth, citing the APPSC paper leak scandal, where corrupt candidates were favored over deserving ones, leading to mass disillusionment among students and job aspirants. "His illegal activities and blatant abuse of power brought disrepute to the police system. This arrest is a reminder that no officer who crosses the line of law can escape accountability," he reminded.
IPS officer and former Andhra Pradesh Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh CID in Hyderabad in connection with a serious harassment case filed by Mumbai-based actress Kadambari Jethwani.
