Ambati Rambabu slams Vijayasai Reddy and alleges vendetta arrests in AP

In a sharp attack, YSR Congress Party leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu alleged that the Telugu Desam Party government in Andhra Pradesh is engaging in acts of political vendetta. He claimed that the recent wave of arrests was orchestrated to divert public attention from the government’s failures.

Speaking to the media in Tadepalli, Ambati Rambabu criticized Vijayasai Reddy, stating, “We are not afraid of people like Vijayasai Reddy, who left our party and are now targeting us. He has gone into the fold of Chandrababu Naidu,” he alleged.

Ambati Rambabu condemned the arrest of IPS officer PSR Anjaneyulu, stating that he was a sincere officer who had been wrongfully arrested. He remarked that it was appalling to arrest an officer who was on track to be promoted to the rank of Director General of Police. He alleged that the arrest was motivated by revenge for the previous arrest of Chandrababu Naidu.

He further alleged that Raj Kasireddy was also arrested solely as an act of political vengeance. Referring to actress Jethwani’s arrest, Ambati Rambabu stated that it had occurred according to legal procedures. He described her as a blackmailer and claimed that this was widely known in Mumbai.

Ambati Rambabu alleged a major conspiracy behind these arrests. He claimed that assets worth ₹3,000 crore were transferred to a company called “URS,” created by Nara Lokesh, and that PSR Anjaneyulu and Raj Kasireddy were arrested to prevent this matter from coming to light.

He accused the coalition government of engaging in oppressive governance and questioned whether they believed they would remain in power forever. He remarked, “Despite being reprimanded by the judiciary over police actions, the government shows no shame. It is disgraceful to play such diversionary politics.”

Ambati Rambabu expressed strong opposition to the suspension of 11 police officers in connection with the Gorantla Madhav issue. He argued that the officers should not have been suspended and demanded the resignation of the Home Minister, holding her responsible.

He further alleged that the Home Minister and other senior officials were functioning under the influence of Nara Lokesh. Ambati Rambabu warned that the Chandrababu Naidu government would have to pay a price for these unlawful arrests. “We will soon see how God and the people decide that one,” he stated.
