Chandrababu Pays Tribute to Veeraiah Chowdary’s Mortal Remains, Vows Justice

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu paid tribute today to the mortal remains of Telugu Desam Party leader Veeraiah Chowdary, who was murdered last night in Ongole. The Chief Minister visited Ammanabrolu village in Naguluppalapadu Mandal of Prakasam district, where he placed a garland on Veeraiah Chowdary’s body and paid his respects.

After offering his condolences, Nara Chandrababu Naidu consoled the grieving family members and assured them of the party’s full support in every possible way. He conveyed that the family would not be left alone and that the party would stand by them. It is reported that the Chief Minister will also attend Veeraiah Chowdary’s final rites.

Nara Chandrababu Naidu was accompanied by state ministers Vangalapudi Anitha, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, Ongole Member of Parliament Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, several Members of the Legislative Assembly, and other Telugu Desam Party leaders. They, too, paid their respects to the deceased and consoled the bereaved family.

Speaking on the occasion, Nara Chandrababu Naidu described the murder of Veeraiah Chowdary as brutal. “This was more savage than a crime committed by hardened criminals,” he said, pointing out that there were 53 stab wounds on the body, indicating the severity of the attack. He declared that such individuals were unfit to live in society and made it clear that they would be apprehended at any cost.

“We will ensure the culprits face the harshest punishment, so that Veeraiah Chowdary’s soul may find peace,” Nara Chandrababu Naidu stated. He praised Veeraiah Chowdary as a capable leader who had rendered many services to the party. Recalling that he had walked alongside Nara Lokesh for 100 days during the latter’s padayatra, the Chief Minister said, “He was the kind of leader who always came forward to help anyone in trouble. A man who responded to every call—Veeraiah was such a leader.”

“There is no question of letting the culprits go unpunished,” Nara Chandrababu Naidu emphasized. He added that no matter how smart the accused might be, they would inevitably leave behind clues and would be hunted down wherever they were. He informed that 12 teams had already been deployed to trace the killers.

Referring to the strong support for the Telugu Desam Party in the mandal, Nara Chandrababu Naidu said, “A majority of 10,000 votes here reflects the stature of Veeraiah Chowdary.” He expressed grief over the loss of such a good leader and lamented that such gruesome acts were happening despite the party being in power.

Voicing his anguish, he said, “We cannot digest the fact that such heinous crimes are taking place while the Telugu Desam Party is in government.” Issuing a stern warning to those engaging in murderous politics, he said, “There’s only one message for such individuals—you too will be consumed by time, beware.”

He reassured the party cadre not to be afraid and promised to stand by them like a family elder. He observed that political violence seemed to be on the rise, and vowed to continue this fight until all such elements were completely eliminated.
