Jagan Appoints Sake Sailajanath as YSRCP Coordinator for Singanamala Constituency
Senior leader and former minister Sake Sailajanath has been appointed as the constituency coordinator for Singanamala Assembly segment by the YSRCP. The party's central office officially announced the appointment yesterday, stating that it was made under the instructions of YSRCP president and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Sake Sailajanath is a seasoned politician who previously represented the Singanamala reserved Assembly constituency as a candidate of the Indian National Congress in the 2004 and 2009 elections, winning both times. During the tenure of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, he served as a minister in the state government.
However, in subsequent elections—2014, 2019, and 2024—he contested as a Congress candidate but was defeated each time. From January to November 2022, he served as the President of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC).
On February 7 of this year, Sake Sailajanath formally joined the YSR Congress Party in the presence of Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Following his induction into the party, Jagan Mohan Reddy appointed him as the constituency coordinator for the Singanamala Assembly segment.
