Shikhar Dhawan Introduces New Girlfriend Sophie Shine on Instagram

Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has officially confirmed that he is in a romantic relationship. Dhawan revealed that he is currently dating Sophie Shine. Addressing the ongoing speculation over the past few months regarding his relationship status, he publicly introduced his new girlfriend on Thursday. Taking to Instagram, Dhawan shared a photo of himself with Sophie Shine, captioning it with “My Love” along with a heart emoji.

Sophie Shine hails from Ireland and holds a degree in Marketing and Management. She currently works as a product consultant and also serves as Vice President at Northern Trust Corporation in Abu Dhabi. Since the recent Champions Trophy event held in Dubai, Shikhar Dhawan and Sophie Shine have been spotted together, which had sparked speculation about their relationship.

Shikhar Dhawan was previously married to Ayesha Mukherjee, with whom he ended an 11-year marriage in 2023. Since the separation, Dhawan, known fondly as "Gabbar", had remained single. However, with the arrival of Sophie Shine in his life, Dhawan is reportedly experiencing happiness once again.

It is also worth noting that Shikhar Dhawan announced his retirement from international and domestic cricket last year. Between 2010 and 2022, Dhawan represented Team India in 167 One Day Internationals (ODIs), 34 Test matches, and 68 T20 Internationals. He scored 6,793 runs in ODIs, 2,315 runs in Tests, and 1,759 runs in T20Is, amassing a total of over 10,000 runs in his international cricket career.
